Trip to Spain, 2016

Finally we went to a place which’s language i speak! It was so so so good to understand everything and having a good talk with some people.

Also, this was our first time that we were traveling during 2 days by car – with a ‘sleep stop’ in an Airbnb – and i have to tell, it was the last time either. Never ever again.

So Spain. This time i really did not want to take a photo every single minute but enjoy the time together. On one hand because it would take a forever time to edit those pics and on the other hand because all the memories and feels are in ourselves and less pic enough to make us remember.  We had much fun with doing nothing at the beach than acting tourists. We went Tarragona but ended up seeing anything after a half hour and went to the beach. We went to Valencia and it was amazing, what we had seen, but also because of the heat, we went to the beach again.
The warmest water was at Valencia. The clearest water was at Valencia. Also at Tarragona you have to walk a lot inside the water to catch the deeper part. One day we went to the mountaines, to Montanejo, to see that popular Hot Spring. We arrived around 10 am when it was basicly empty then until 11 am it became full of people! It is an oh-so-clear-and-cold mountain lake and it was just so beautiful. I had to realize again that for me, sweet waters aka lakes always win againts salty waters aka sea or ocean.

Some advice:
-The souther you go, the cheaper you will find accomodation, especially airbnb-s. For me, the real Spain starts from Valencia. One day i really want to see Sevilla and Andalucía. All the tiles everywhere, cute little streets and that arabian hint what make everything so unique.
-If you have gluten allergy, this is your country. Even on the shelves it is written if something is glutenfree!
– Inform yourself about shop openings because they are opened very rarely :-)

So here are some moody pics of our wonderful trip to Spain:

We love traveling: Provence and all the lavender fields

We went to South-France again, just because to see the lavender fields. Because it has a special season which is – so the best to go – the end of June, beginning of July, we chose the first weekend of July to go. As long as we still have school in whole July, we could spend just a long weekend there and tried to see as many things as we can – especialy with kids. However i can say, our boys became a very good traveler if you know what i mean when i say 10-12 hours in the car.

So, when we talk about Provence, and lavender fields, everybody say ‘uh’ and ‘ah’ and what a pretty place and want to go there, etc etc. Guys, Provence and the lavender fields are REALLY that beautiful and amazing what everybody expecting about. Why do i say this? Because there are other places, what people are dreamig about but in real life they are realy  not that dreamy. You know, just a good photographer with the right angle and lights (i would name this place only in private message). So houses on the countryside with all their light brown, rockyy, grey wall color and all the pastel shutters, the simple lines and forms,  were our faveourite. We collected so many ideas in our head to our future home (our future house will be kind of multicultural, haha, as we have ideas from every place we have been to).

We stayed in an Airbnb in Banon, and have been in Annecy, Aix-en-Provence, Cassis. Actually our only full day was Saturday, but it was enough again, that for example we finally have found the perfect town in South-France, along the sea, which is perfect with kids: Cassis! We definitely will try to go back there next summer for a whole week, it is calm but not boring, it has a good beach and even a big and very cool playground! Eating, sleeping, beaching, playing, and repeat: thats what we will do there.

So, lets get started!

We love traveling: South-Germany and Austria

We spent just 2 days at this area, but have experienced and saw so many things, that both my husband and me said, it felt we were away for a whole week!
For example, all of us went to the top of the mountain in a cable car. It was such a wonderful experience to see snow, and feel the strong sunshine at the same time.
Lakes, mountaines, flower fields are what we never get tired of!

Enjoy our memories!

We love traveling: Netherlands II. – Amsterdam

We had a short trip to the Netherlands from Friday to Monday. We travelled by car to be able to see as many things as places, as we could. We had exact plan (Amsterdam, Keukenhof and find a flower field) the others we were improvising. The whole long weekend we were so blessed, it was sunny, not warm but not cold and only once it was raining but during the night. We stayed in a cute Airbnb in a little town, calles Schoorl. Oh we loved it so much!

After the flowers there is Amsterdam.
First impression: WOW. And another WOW. So impressive, so caracteristic, so stylish, so intensive, so cool! Amsterdam is a ‘big thing’ if you have never been there, for that, if you have been there, for it. I have never been to New York but saw lot of movies and my first thought was that like i am walking in one of the movies which was played in New York or around that place! Well we know, the dutch made their place in New York and around so it is not a suprise. I was amazed that every.single.door was different, every.single.door was unique and even the ‘ugly’ doors were beautiful, too. #ihavethisthingswithdoors
I like it in the whole country that 90% of the  houses and buildings are made with brick. Natural, black, white, dark blue, dark green and dark red what we saw the most. (love it love it love it!!!)
So it was, what we expected and couldn’t spend too much time, so there would be other parts we would see.
We liked it so much, but agreed with my husband and with my grandma (she was with us), that this city is for singles, couples so WITHOUT children. It was too crowed and rushed and as a mountain-forest family it helped us to say goodby without the feelings: if we were so lucky to live here.

Flowers. Lot os flowers. Flowers and gardening are my natural xanax so you can guess that we were ‘oh’ and ‘ah’-ing between these beauties.
Keukenhof is an exact place and we didn’t regreet to go there. Even that a LOT of people were there when we entered into the park and started to walking the people dissappeared. Ok well they didn’ but it was a huge place so we couldn’t notice the crowd.
So many colors and that fragrance! Green, green everywhere! We were at the best time, most of the tulips were closed yet but the other were blooming in their glory.
The flower field we found on our way to Amsterdam. Schoorl is about 90minutes far and it was Sunday and we were looking for an early opened gast station when we drived next to that flower field. These are hyacinths and daffodils.
But, just lets see the photos.

We love traveling: Colmar, France

On Easter weekend, on that beautiful Saturday we went to see Colmar in France. We forgot about Easter weekend so it was a surprise that not only the beautiful town we could see but there were markets and animals as well (and lot of people :-P).
The weather was amazing, the real spring had arrived finally, we walked 3 hours!
If I compare this town to Strassburg which is nother and South France which we have seen last summer, i can tell that Colmar is the perfect board or mix between North and South France. The funny thins is that even IN the town we could see that change on the buildings, the mood, etc as we went souther. We were looking for that place where the houses sit on the canal literally.
It was such a beautiful and good day!

We love mini-travel: Strassburg

We have cities on our travel list which are marked as mini-travel. It means they are just 2-3 hours from us by car so we start early morning and come home by dinner time. Because our main goal is walking around the cities (no museums for example and we can eat somewhere in the city/town if we found any gluten free option) a long day is just enough for everything, so with our sandwiches and homemade sweets enjoy our time together. Tell the truth these cities are not too characteristics exclude the metropolis and capitals so a good 3-4-5 hours is just enough there with kids. Enjoy the view, the weather, making memories.

The first weekend of February was awesome, we had a sunny warm Saturday exactly went to see Strassburg. Enjoy!

A very snowy weekend with mountains

I need to write an introductory for these pictures but oh my…. after our summer trip i mentioned how we love the mountaines. Yes, they always were beautiful for us but being right in front of that mountains and being 3500 meters high is so much different. We totally fell in love. Both of us started to see and looking for any connection with them, like my husband who runs since then was  always watching running stories in the mountains etc etc :D.
So we love it during the summer and on one hand we wanted to know if we feel the same during winter, covered with snow, just white and very cold, cause if yes, we have to keep our dream and goals for living, having a home somewhere in the world near to the mountains. And a little forest would not be bad either :-P. On the other hand we wanted to see a lot of snow, the last 3 winters we have not seen any (or too much) cause we did not have where we lived (however we were supposed to have as we have usually a winter with snow) and Vince, who is 3 yrs old saw it only when he was a little baby but we know that is different. So it was snowing day and night here, a lot of snow came and it was a double joy to go from snow to a lot of snow.

Anyway. We fell in love again. We love the mountains anyhow. We keep our dream and want to reach it. See the photos, i tried to shoot the feelings and the mood.
And the adventure did not finish on Saturday cause next day we decided to see our forest next to our house how it looks being white?! It was snowing like crazy and then suddenly sun was shining and suddenly both… so we had a good 20 minutes out there because in like 2 minutes a huge snow storm came and we hardly could go home (walking, of course) but it was so fun! We were totally white :D As we arrived home and took of our winter cloth the sun started to shine again. Silly weather… but we loved it!
So Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Eibsee and the forest near to us.

We travel: Baden-Baden

Happy New Year Everyone!

I start to writing the posts again, i have a lot in my pocket. I have a few from the past, what i really want to show but could not show earlier.
We went to see Baden-Baden during the wonderful fall season. This city is just amazing. It is really close to the french board, as much that you can feel a little french sense here…it is not too big but is not boring a bit! The ‘method’ is the same is Stuttgart, the center is in the valley and the city climbs up on the hill. And maybe you know but it is one of the famous bathing cities in Germany :-)

So just lets the photos…
